The presentations in this webcast perform best on higher speed
connections. From a development standpoint, it is possible to compress
the audio tracks and image files further to help improve performance on
slower connections. However, in doing so, the quality of the audio
would degrade and the finer details in the slides would be lost. This
would have a negative impact on the viewing experience.
If you are accessing the site from a slower connection, you could work
through the presentations with the following manual method:
- Access and print the transcript for the presentation.
- Click on the Slide Gallery for the presentation. It may take some time to load the thumbnail images of the slides.
- Click
on the Expand icon (it looks like a magnifying glass at the bottom of
each slide) to enlarge the thumbnail image of the slide you want to
view. A new browser window will open and an enlarged view of the slide
image will be displayed.
- Read the transcript excerpt while studying the slide.
- When you're ready to move on, click on Next Slide in the expanded image window.
